New UCI Tire Width Rules

Hello all,
Just got of the phone with Shawn Farrell of USA Cycling about the 33mm maximum tire width rule. Seems to be some rumors out there.
According to Shawn, all riders over 17 will have to follow the new rule.
The measuring device is a slotted instrument 33mm wide and 8" long so any knobs sticking out past the sidewall will be included in the measurement.
He thinks they will test at the qualifying TT the day before, but not sure if this will be a Go/No Go test or FYI.
