Not a great turn out for sure, but for those that made it- What a day!!!! Not too cold, and lot's of rain! One of the better days in Boise for cross that is for sure. Nice job to those who made it, everyone was smiling at some point.

Agreed
Great photos once again Todd. Really captured the mood of the moment. Thanks to Broken Spoke for making this day happen. Made for classic cross conditions that don't happen in Idaho often. I encourage more folks to get out on Sundays and warp it up! Thanks to all the competitors for making it a great day. The muddy smiles said it all! Fuller
Fantastic!
Thank you guys for designing one hell of a cross course! I have not had so much fun on a cross bike in years. You should see the pile of mud and grass in front of my garage door; hell, the back of my helmet is a freaking mess :)
I can't wait until next weekend.

Eagle Island Training Race
Those pics look great! Out of curiosity, what changes did you make to the course from the one I set up on Saturday? Just waiting to hear from the park officials on how much we damaged the grass on this one..
The Grass
Hey Brad.
Alex and Jeremey did a pretty good job of re routing not to hit the same spots over and over. With only 17 racers, the impact was much less than what it could have been. There was a lot of routing thru the field where the runners start and finish, but there was not much impact out there at all. The spot where Alex fell in the photos and the 180 by the start finish were the worst.
If we need to have a reseed party let us know. There are lots of green thumbs in the cycling community.
Grass update
Cool, thank you for the update. While I want it to be slippery and fun the promoter in me remembers the stern phone call last year after we destroyed the middle part of the hill (or finished destroying it after the running race during one wet race). Anyway, love the pics and see you this weekend.
Muddy-istic
News from the back of the pack. Fun skills training, a little pain along the way can't hurt anyone.
You'll never get faster sitting on the side line.
See you next Sat.
embrocate or die!
...so a couple things, #1 awesome day, there were a lot of battles that made for some fantastic racing. #2 todd, thanks for the photos...there are stories in those pictures...#3 I don't advise anyone to use capsacin HP as an embrocation cream...I had tears in my eyes by the time I got home...it seemed like the longer the race went the hotter my legs got yowza!
Don't you mean embrocate AND
Don't you mean embrocate AND die?
Training Race
I want to personally thank Todd and B. Fuller for setting up the ultimate cross course and posting results so FAST!!! A true proving ground for Nats!! Too bad for those who did not show up. You all missed an excellent day of racing. It never hurt so good. Good job Hal/Jared and all the Broken Spoke folks.

I was just a tape runner on Sunday. Alex P. and Jeremy W. Need the credit for course design. I too want to thank TVCC (Brad and crew) for their awsome as usual race organization. We are darned lucky to have the quality we have for cyclocross! Fuller

I stand corrected.........once again. Obviously Alex enjoyed his design with an awesome somersault on the hill!!!! Nice move. We are darned lucky and we need to continue supporting each other throughout the season. Stearno
